This month, we're proud to shine our Consultant Spotlight on Dr. Robert V. Smith, a distinguished Senior Consultant and esteemed member of The Registry team.

Dr. Smith brings decades of academic leadership and research expertise to his consulting work, having served in key executive roles at major public universities across the country. Most recently, he was Vice President of CBT University Consulting in Sacramento, California. His extensive leadership experience also includes serving as Provost and Senior Vice President at Texas Tech University; Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville; Vice Provost for Research and Graduate Education and Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Connecticut; and Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Vice Provost for Research and Dean of the Graduate School at Washington State University.

In addition to his leadership experiences, he has authored over 335 articles and sixteen books spanning chemistry, higher education, humanities and social sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, and personal and professional development.

Dr. Smith earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Michigan and his B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (cum laude) from St. John’s University (New York). He has been recognized with numerous honors, including designation as a Distinguished Doctoral Graduate by the University of Michigan Horace Rackham School of Graduate Studies and the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy.

Today, Dr. Smith continues to serve The Registry with distinction, bringing exceptional insight, experience, and leadership to every engagement.
