Membership Recruitment for Nursing Deans

The Registry, the nation’s premier provider of interim leadership in higher education, is seeking retired or late-career nursing deans to help fulfill the great demand The Registry receives from colleges and universities all over the country. Our interim nursing deans and directors bring with them a wealth of knowledge, decades of experience, a genuine passion for nursing, and with these qualities, the ability to assist nursing programs to be more successful. As an interim chief nursing officer, our members provide leadership with accreditation, curriculum review, program development initiatives, and much more.

Registry opportunities are varied in both the needs and location of the institution providing our members the ability to remain engaged in their field, while continuing to make a difference in the discipline of nursing education. Testimonials

“I am serving as Interim Dean of Nursing at Pacific Lutheran University. This is a return engagement to PLU and has given me the unique opportunity to know I would be joining an excellent student-centered school that intentionally and actively strives to live its mission. Being part of The Registry has broadened my experience of higher education across the country and continues to make me proud of the vital contributions that educators in America make in helping our people and our democracy thrive."

Registry Member Carol Seavor, Interim Dean of Nursing at Pacific Lutheran University

"I feel very fortunate to have been placed in Hawaii Pacific University," stated Yucha. "It has been my privilege to assist HPU to further develop the nursing program as we negotiate the challenges of COVID. With administrative support, we have been able to raise faculty salaries and convert the Department of Nursing to a School of Nursing. Our achievements this far have been both personally and professionally rewarding for me and position the school for future success. Over the next few months we will focus on preparing the school, faculty and staff to begin their search for a new Dean through faculty development and creating streamlined and transparent procedures."

Registry Member Carolyn Yucha, Interim Dean of the School of Nursing at Hawai'i Pacific University

“If COVID-19 has highlighted anything in our society, it is that there is a growing demand for well-trained nursing professionals that never refuse to serve. D’Youville has been dedicated to this cause since 1942 when we established the first four-year nursing program in the region. Our dedication to the nursing field combined with our mission has created a global network of nurses who constantly make D’Youville proud.

Dr. Garrison will be bringing an array of experiences and specialties to D’Youville that will not only support our outstanding program but will also offer us an opportunity to advance further, ensuring that we are not only serving nursing students of today but those of tomorrow as well.”

Registry Member Deborah Garrison, Interim Dean for the School of Nursing at D'Youville College
