Registry President Bryan Carlson, Vice President Kevin Matthews and Member Patricia Jackson were featured this month in an article in Council for Advancement and Support of Education about the importance and strategies of Interim Leadership.

ICYMI: Registry President Bryan Carlson, Vice President Kevin Matthews and Member Patricia Jackson were featured this month in an article in Council for Advancement and Support of Education about the importance and strategies of Interim Leadership.

“It is like drinking from a firehose, but I love the taste of the water,” says Jackson in the article written by Kellie Woodhouse. “I like the problem-solving aspect of it. I am fascinated by institutional cultures.”

“In the old days [the interim] was to come in and be a placeholder. Don’t make any changes. Wait for the permanent leader,” states Carlson. “All of that has disappeared. The mandate now in the vast majority of our placements is to right the ship, to make some dramatic changes.”
