Robert V. Smith, Ph.D.

Most recently, Dr. Robert V. Smith served as Vice President of CBT University Consulting in Sacramento, California. Prior to CBT, he served as Provost and Senior Vice President at Texas Tech University; Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville; Vice Provost for Research and Graduate Education and Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Connecticut; and Dean of the College of Pharmacy at Washington State University.

Dr. Smith has contributed over 335 articles and sixteen books to the literature of chemistry, higher
education, humanities and social sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, and personal and professional
development.

Dr. Smith earned his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Michigan, and his B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (cum laude) from ST. John’s University (New York). In 1998, he was designated as a Distinguished Doctoral Graduate by the University of Michigan  Horace Rackham School of Graduate Studies, and in 1990 was a recipient of a Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy.
